Investing in the Shoe of the Future

Seeking Alpha has an interesting article on shoe maker LaCrosse Footwear and its recent acquisition of Environmentally Neutral Design. The article states that shoes made by END are not only "environmentally responsible" but are more rugged, lighter, and result in increased performance. The note that although the company focuses on "sustainable" footwear, they do not charge the higher prices that are often associated with sustainability or organic products.

Patient investors may be willing to wait on this investment. The company also pays a 3.5% dividend.
